The truth is, you’re not alone, and it's not your fault. Many accountants are in the same position. I was that person too. Our training may have prepared us to be great accountants, but it didn't teach us the art of managing and growing a busy accountancy practice.
Having built a near £1million practice that runs largely without me, I now spend my extra time as a business coach to help more accountants like you to become profitable, fulfil their potential and achieve that elusive life/work balance.
I'm Reza Hooda, a mentor and business coach for accountants
Hi, I'm Reza, and my mission is to help accountancy firms to become more profitable, giving their owners the time, money and freedom they crave.
I run a highly successful accounting business, but it hasn't been without its challenges (see my story below). Today, my business can function without me, so I'm fortunate enough to be able to help accountants like you take a shortcut to success and avoid making the same mistakes that I did!

My story - how I transformed my struggling accountancy practice
In all honesty, when I started my accounting business back in 2008, I didn't have a clue what I was doing. I made all the mistakes under the sun. I priced too low to win work, I would take on any old client, and I was slow to delegate and build systems, so I ended up doing most of the technical work.
This led to me being overworked, stressed out and not making the profit I deserved. Rather than the business giving me the time and financial freedom to do what I wanted, I was basically in a glorified 'job'.
The firm nearly went out of business, and if it wasn't for discovering that there was such a thing as business coaches for accountants in 2014, it probably would have.
Through regular business coaching sessions, I started on a journey learning about pricing, sales, marketing, culture, and systems and began to implement my new-found knowledge.
Within 24 months of getting the advice I desperately needed, I went from chasing clients for invoices of £500-£1000 to winning a one-off fee of £135,121 - paid in advance - and taking our company to nearly £1 million in revenue with just 7 people.
Best of all, I did this whilst working less than 10 hours a week, allowing me time to spend with the ones I love. So now, I dedicate some of my extra time to coaching to help accountants like you develop the confidence and skills to achieve their ambitions.

Before I started focusing and investing in my own learning to be a better business owner, I had no idea what support services were out there. But I soon realised that I could have made progress a LOT faster if I had reached out for the help of a good coach on day one!
I found people who had been in my shoes, whose businesses had gone through the same difficulties I was facing and who had come out the other side. So rather than making more expensive mistakes and struggling along, I made a decision to stand on their shoulders and learn all I could from them.
