One of the most important challenges faced by accountancy firm owners today is undoubtedly finding and retaining and good quality staff.
Times have definitely changed.
Unemployment within the accountancy profession has always been comparatively lower than the national average. Candidates are spoilt for choice for where to work. Others fall into a comfort zone and don’t move.
We also have a much higher number of Generation Y (Millennials) and now Generation Z people in our workplaces. For these people, job loyalty isn’t as big a thing as it used to be 20 or 30 years ago. They’ve grown up using tech, so communicating via instant messaging or video is the norm for them. They also crave flexibility, where being able to work from home or even remotely is important to them.
So with all of this in mind, how do you create an environment that attracts the best talent and retains your high performers?

Hi there, I'm Reza and since 2008 I've run an accounting firm just like you.
In the years since, I've grown the firm three-fold and massively transformed our profits.
