This is one of the many wins that Bev has got after joining Reza's mastermind programme. 

 

I'm Bev Flanagan from Mind Your Assets Accounts, and I've been in Reza's mentoring group now for about a year. I just wanted to do this quick video, rather than just type a message out, just to thank Reza.

So not only does he provide excellent support, he's got WhatsApp groups, he's got the LinkedIn, he's got the Facebook, we have monthly one-to-ones. We've also got group... Not one-to-one cause it's a group, but the rest of us that's in the mentoring group, we all get together quite regularly as well.

We see each other at least once every two weeks. And it is amazing, it really is good. Can't recommend Reza, and his group and his coaching, enough. But he also has a lot of other materials that he offers to us, and shows us as well. So he does monthly webinars and these Zooms, where we watch, and he does, like, an hour slot on a certain area for us to digest, and implement into our own businesses.

One of them was how to price a project, which to be honest, I've never done that before, in my business, and I've been in business now for a good few years. But recently I've had a couple of occasions where it would have needed to be priced as a project, as a one-off as opposed to (recurring) work going forward. It's a one-off piece of work. And one of them is quite, large to be honest, as in large, a lot of work to do.

So one of our clients, he's got a five-year VAT return to do. Should have been registered a long time ago. So I didn't really know how to price it, if I were being honest. So I went back, re-watched the video, he's got a video on nine steps to successfully price a project. Watched that. I watched it twice. He also gave templates. There's two different templates in there of how he's priced projects before, for his own practice. I used one of those templates, and adapted it to my current situation.

This project, this one-off project that I'm doing I needed to price, I had it in me mind that it were gonna be about £3000-£4000. I don't know where that came from. I just thought it would be about that much. Once I sat down and did the nine steps, it actually came out to just over £11,000!.

Did it, sent it to the client, did a Loom video with it as well to explain everything on there. I think it was about 15 minute Loom video, 'cause I wanted to explain the value of what we could offer for this project, and why we were the best company to do it for him. And, yeah, it has just been signed up, agreed, and we're ready to start.

So there's no way I would have been able to do that without Reza, and his team, and everybody else in my mentoring session, and that video on nine steps, how to price a project. So I just wanted to say thank you to Reza, and just to get this out there to anybody else, any other accountant, any other accountancy firms, that might be struggling a little bit with accountability, or need a little bit of a kick, or just needs just needs help.
