Do you have a dress code at your firm?

This is the first time I’ve worn a suit in two and a half years. It was for a wedding reception we went to the other day. When I first started my firm 15 years ago I used to wear a suit every day. And a tie if I was meeting a new client. Because that’s what I wore when I worked at PWC. 

But times have changed

We’ve become a lot more casual - particularly since the pandemic. Now it’s jeans and t shirt or hoodie. We don’t have a dress policy at work anymore. Because I trust my team to wear whatever they deem appropriate. Just like my wife can trust that I’ll wear a suit to a wedding (even though I’d much rather turn up in a t shirt )Your team are adults, Trust them to make the right choices. And don’t fret about things that really aren’t important in the grand scheme of things - like what you wear in the office.
