I was a really late reader

Embarrassed to say I hadn’t read a business book before reaching my mid-thirties. Then I came across the book Drive by Daniel Pink which was mind blowing at the time. It gave me solutions to problems that I didn’t even know I had.

And started my journey of making up for lost time and bingeing on books for the next few years! 

It’s amazing how much you can learn from a book for how much it costs. Sometimes a lifetime’s worth of research, experience, insights, wisdom all distilled into a packet of written words that you can consume in a few hours. And then take those insights and implement stuff in your business to get results

My best investment by far has been to invest in myself

Investing time in reading and learning from others who are experts in their fields. It’s helped me to get my accounting firm to run without me AND build a secondary coaching business from nothing to multiple six figures in just a couple of years. 

As Jim Rohn wisely said: “Formal education will make you a living, self education will make you a fortune”
