The no 1 cause of scope creep

Do you suffer from the dreaded scope creep? 

It's inevitable in the kind of work we do.. 

So how do you limit the amount of scope creep that happens? 

Especially if you're not billing by the hour any more.. 

(Because we know that's crazy and clients don't buy time from us)

Well for a start it's actually understanding what scope actually means

Scope is made up of 3 things:

1️⃣ what you actually do (TR's, accounts, b/k)

2️⃣ complexity (of a client's affairs)

3️⃣ client's preferences (in how they work with you)

You then price based on what you do for clients, how complex they are and how they want to work with you

You can then come up with pricing scales taking all those factors into account 

The easiest way to do this is by using pricing software

That helps you to build up the price with a client based upon their circumstances, complexity and what access they want to you 

The client's price then is unique to their particular circumstances and what they value 

And that's the way it should be - you get paid for the value you deliver - the more value you generate the more you get paid
