Be the specialist not the generalistMar 22, 2021
Is it better to be a generalist or a specialist?
Clue: I’m a dentist looking for an accountant. Am I going to be interested in any accountant I come across or one who specialises in working with dentists?
The specialist firm, of course.
Because an accountant who specialises in my sector will understand my industry and will know all the issues I face.
So, don’t worry that narrowing your niche will limit your opportunities. It will do the opposite!
🎯 Clients will seek you out because you’re a specialist
💰 And that means they’ll be prepared to pay you more
🌟 You’ll soon become known as the go-to firm in your chosen niche
📞 Which means you’ll attract more referrals
No doubt you can run a profitable firm without niching - but you can run an even MORE profitable firm if you do
And it makes finding your ideal clients so much easier too
