If you don't know who you are serving and how you help them, then how can you expect to get the stream of leads that you want? Identifying your 'ideal client' is key
That then becomes your strategy
There are over 2m SME's in the UK - they cannot all be your clients. As Michael Porter said: "the essence of strategy is choosing what NOT to do" Knowing you who DO NOT serve makes you more appealing to those that you do. Having a strategy means you have a destination
Then you can start looking at tactics to get you to that destination. Otherwise tactics without strategy is just noise. Don't worry that if you niche into a particular sector that you will close the door to potential enquiries. In fact you will get higher quality enquiries and get paid more for what you do
